A profound lack of authentic leadership

My heart is weeping, and it won’t stop. I set out more than 40 years ago to make a difference in the way leaders lead. I became an accomplished organisational consultant, trainer, and coach in global organisational change.

My heart is weeping because we are constantly experiencing a profound lack of authentic leadership in this fantastic country. We deserve (and pay for) better from our current range of corporate, civic, and political leaders. The most fundamental 101 principle of leadership is for leaders to take personal responsibility for their behaviours, actions, mistakes, and impact on others.

In Australia, in the face of this tragedy, our political leaders are currently avoiding accepting any responsibility, nor are they even trying to understand their role in the system that allowed my people to die without cause. It’s time for a huge change.
