Horrific evil in the place we came seeking safety

My heart goes out to all members of our community affected by yesterday’s abhorrent act of violence in Bondi beach.

Witnessing such horrific evil, the same kind that has tragically impacted myself personally, materialise in the very place we came seeking safety is deeply unsettling and leaves me feeling disoriented. This is especially true when it targets a community that has been incredibly generous, kind and successful among all Australians.

My prayers for all those we lost and speedy recovery for those still receiving medical care.
