It feels surreal

I cannot stop crying reading the beautiful words told here. Thank you to The Jewish Independent for helping me understand some of this, but in truth, it feels surreal.

I lived in Bondi many years ago, across the road from the beach. For a young Jewish man living there, it was magical, one of the most glorious places to be.

I am so very angry and upset, isolated by being far from Sydney, but I am heartened by the outpouring of love from outside the Jewish community. I hope it lasts.
