Shame on our leaders

I am disgusted that this scum could perpetrate such an atrocity on our shores. My heart goes out to the family and friends of the dead and injured. We are at a critical time for our community because if there is not a massive shift in sentiment in Australia in terms of allowing this racism to fester then we are lost.

Most Australians are unhappy with the antisemitism and pro-radical sentiment that is so prevalent, but until they realise that if nothing changes, our future becomes theirs, then they also will have to face a change for the worse in the beautiful land in which they were raised.

I am the son of Holocaust survivors and I am starting to experience the hatred and racism that they faced as young teenagers and adults. It’s a connection that I wished I never had.

Our current leaders have blood on their hands by their inaction and their exchange of values for votes. Shame on them. We will survive and thrive as we always have.
