Sydney FC
Like all Australians, we are in shock and deeply saddened by the tragic events in Bondi. What happened yesterday has shaken our city, and our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected. Bondi is a special part of Sydney – a place that so many of us feel connected to in one way or another – and this tragedy has been felt right across our community.
On behalf of everyone at Sydney FC – from our players and coaches to our staff, Board and wider club family – we want to send our love, strength and heartfelt support to you, your families, your friends and anyone you know who may be impacted by these events.
In moments like this, football feels very small, but community does not. Sydney FC has always stood for togetherness, resilience and looking after one another, and those values matter most in times of grief and uncertainty.
We know that many within our Sky Blue family may be struggling today – whether through personal connection, shock, or simply the weight of such confronting news. Please know that you are not alone.
We, at Sydney FC, stand in solidarity with the Jewish community, as well as with those who were present, those who are grieving, and those who are deeply affected.
Football has a unique ability to bring people together, to offer comfort, and to remind us that even in the darkest moments, we stand stronger side by side. As a club, we are here for you and we stand with our city and the Jewish people.
Right now it is important we stick together. Looking after each other, checking in, and staying connected is more important than ever.
To our Members – thank you for being part of a community that cares deeply. Our hearts are with our Sky Blue community and everyone affected, and we send strength and compassion to all during this time.
