Yair Golan was appointed leader of the Democrats in Israel on 30th June 2024, when Labor and Meretz announced an agreement to form a new party. In this special upcoming event, Golan, known for his heroism on October 7 and strong criticism of the current government, will share his vision for Israel’s future, focusing on critical issues such as security, democracy, regional relations, and social unity.
This event is co-presented by several Australian Jewish community groups with the aim to continue the important conversation about Israel, in particular the effect Israel’s policies have on diaspora communities, whether that be Jewish or Muslim communities, and the importance of social cohesion in navigating these challenging times.
