From Rupture to Renewal: Reclaiming our Jewish Future

Join TJI's Event and Partnerships Manager Sharon Berger to explore what it means to be a progressive Jew today -in our community and the wider world.

As rupture becomes the new normal, so much of our energy has been focused on “the day after” in Israel and Gaza — but what about the day after in Sydney? Jewish life here is shifting too, and we must ensure that shift doesn’t happen without us. This panel brings together bold progressive voices to ask: What does it mean to be a progressive Jew right now — in our community and in the wider world? How do we hold our values with integrity in both spaces? And most importantly: what kind of Jewish community do we want to build after the aftermath, and how do we get there? Join us for an honest, searching conversation about direction, belonging, and the responsibility we share in shaping a more just, inclusive, and courageous Jewish future.

This panel is part of Up the Mountain, Into the World program for young adults. Tikkun Leil Shavuout program presented by Emanuel Synagogue, Tamar, Habonim Dror, Netzer Sydney, Ayelet Hashachar & Moishe House.
