Redfern Then and Now!

Immerse yourself in the heart of Aboriginal culture in Sydney, with an insightful 90-minute walking tour of Redfern. Learn about the social and political history of Redfern, and its role at the epicentre of Aboriginal activism.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Aboriginal culture in Sydney, with an insightful 90-minute walking tour of Redfern. Learn about the social and political history of Redfern, and its role at the epicentre of Aboriginal activism. The tour is guided by Donna Ingram, a proud Wiradjuri woman. 

The tour involves a light walk along flat surfaces, but comfortable shoes are advised.

Please arrive by 1:25pm sharp for a 1:30pm start from the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence (NCIE), 180 George St, Redfern

There is some street parking available or you can walk to NCIE from Redfern train station in under 10 minutes. 

This tour is organised by Emanuel Synagogue and The Jewish Independent. There will be an optional opportunity to informally meet for a drink afterwards and discuss the tour.
