It is a very challenging time in the world and in Australia. No matter your religion, politics or preferences it feels destabilising on both a larger and more personal scale. This creative workshop, has been specifically designed two months after the Bondi massacre, where 15 people were killed at a Chanukah festival, also known as the Jewish festival of lights. The central miracle of Chanukah involves a small jar of oil, meant for one day, miraculously burning for eight days, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
Mama Creatives is collaborating with The Jewish Independent, offering a gentle invitation to women from ALL backgrounds to come together and build community; and to support each other through creativity and care in a safe and nurturing space.
We have created a very special event where you can connect and be part of a collective creative circle.
Anna Kellerman, founder of Mama Creatives, will be facilitating a painting workshop, and we will create together, side by side.
Ticket sales will go towards the cost of the art materials. We will also donate the extra funds to The Light Over Darkness Charidy campaign, going directly to the 15 victims' families.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not therapy, nor is art or painting experience necessary.
This will be a gentle collective healing and experientially based workshop. It will be a fabulously inspiring Sunday morning connecting with incredible women making a difference, raising the vibration towards the light.
When we create together we feel part of a community and that we belong.
LIGHT REFRESHMENTS will be provided. All art materials included.
About This Workshop
With all the darkness and challenges in the world, we can also imagine what the light might hold. This theme and others will be explored in a safe and nurturing way.
With Anna's guidance and inspired by the theme of 'Towards the Light' we will paint on small canvases, creating individual pieces which will become part of a larger collective artwork, decided together by the group. However, the focus will be on the creative process, which can be very healing and therapeutic in itself.

You will be gently guided through each stage, with a chance for reflection to process the experience and what the theme means to each woman participating in the workshop.
This is not a political or religious event, it is a creative workshop allowing space to connect through the creative process, when sometimes we cannot access the words to express our feelings.
Let's create and work together towards the light.
