VIDEO: Ari and Gabbi Mitchell's daughter was conceived through IVF and deeply loved but they never got to take her home.

On 19 April 2023, Ari and Gabbi Mitchell’s precious baby girl, Stevie Dylan, was stillborn at 37.5 weeks. Their world was forever changed.

"We had to leave the hospital with so much love to give and only a memory box and broken hearts to hold onto," says Gabbi.

The Mitchells are among the families supported by the Australian Jewish Fertility Network in their struggle for a child.

During September Ari will swim 126km (7 x Chai (18)) over September to raise funds for the Fertility Network. The Mitchells created Stevie’s Swim to honour Stevie and open the conversation around stillbirth, grief, and loss.

"We want to make sure no one in our community travels through this harrowing journey alone," says Ari.
