We are looking for a contributing reporter to cover campus issues and youth culture on a regular basis.
The Jewish Independent is an online media outlet committed to peace and social justice in Australia, Israel, and the Jewish world. We are looking for a contributing reporter to cover campus issues and youth culture on a regular basis. The successful applicant will be a recent journalism graduate or current student with good reporting skills, an excellent understanding of objective journalism, and familiarity with issues related to Israel, Palestine, and Jewish life.
This an ongoing role, based on the production of an average of two stories a month, plus news tips and social posts. This successful applicant will:
- monitor the round and provide regular news tips and story ideas
- initiate and write regular articles
- respond quickly to breaking stories
- create and post social collateral.
