The Jewish Independent has won the NSW Premier’s Multicultural Communications Award for the Best Multicultural Media Report of the year.
Ruby Kraner-Tucci accepted the award for Generation Change, a series profiling young Australian Jews who are making a positive impact in their local communities.
The series includes interviews with young Jews who work or volunteer in disability inclusion, First Nations health, prisoners' rights, LGBTQ+ visibility, community education, climate and other issues.
The latest interview in the series, released today, is with Jaimee Krawitz, the 27-year-old founder of Hide N Seek, a not-for-profit educating people about eating disorders.

It is the third time The Jewish Independent has taken out an award at the NSW Premier's Multicultural Communications Awards.
In 2023 TJI took out the Award for Best Audio-Visual report for the video series From their Perspective: Palestinian citizens of Israel, produced by Sharon Offenberger
The previous year, it took out the same award for Covid Courage Stories, produced by Benjamin Strum.
