The Jewish Food Festival returns to Sydney on Sunday, building on last year's success which saw over 4,000 attendees come together to celebrate the richness of Jewish cuisine and culture.
Headlining the event – which is run by the newly rebranded Shalom Collective – is a series of workshops and demonstrations with celebrity chefs, including Alice Zaslavsky (A Bite To Eat with Alice), Ed Halmagyi (Avner’s) and Lisa Goldberg (Monday Morning Cooking Club), among others.
Live music, an intergenerational cook-off, blintz tossing competition and cookbook exchange will also feature throughout the day.
To satisfy cravings, attendees can take their pick from over 30 Sydney-based kosher food stalls, including Ta Ta Ta Pizza, Perfect Pita, FRESS Gourmet, Bianca’s Deli and Brooklyn Boy Bagels, while families can appreciate the free, dedicated kids zone filled with creative activities.

Director of programs Rabbi Alon Meltzer said the festival, which is now in its third year, offers something for everyone. "Food is a universal language that connects people across generations and cultures. The Jewish Food Festival is a celebration of this connection," he said.
