Critics says High Court bill a step towards annexation, while Breaking The Silence says it won’t be silenced by move designed to limit its impact on young minds

In 'annexation' push, Knesset limits Palestinian access to High Court (Jerusalem Post)
In its latest push for de facto annexation, the Knesset approved a law on Tuesday that would limit Palestinian access to the High Court of Justice and expand the jurisdiction of the Administrative Court beyond sovereign Israel.

It marks a 51-year change in the way West Bank land cases will be handled, by moving them first to an administrative court which previously did not have judicial purview with regard to the West Bank.

Right-wing politicians hailed the law’s passage, in a 56-48 vote, as a victory toward granting Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria equitable rights to those within sovereign Israel.

Knesset okays banning groups critical of IDF from schools (Times of Israel)
A controversial bill empowering the education minister to ban organizations critical of the Israeli military from entering schools was approved by the Knesset early Tuesday morning, giving the go-ahead to bar the Israeli NGO Breaking the Silence.

The law is largely aimed at curtailing the activities of Breaking the Silence, which gathers and publishes largely anonymous accounts by former Israeli combat soldiers about alleged human rights violations against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.

The passage of the NGO Law that limits anti-occupation organizations is a glaring example of the way efforts to silence opposition to the occupation are undermining our entire democratic structure
