A January 26-28 survey shows that while most Israelis (62%) support negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, only 29% believe that the negotiating process will lead to peace in the next few years. What these figures really show is dissonance …. But in Netanyahu’s Israel, there is an explanation for this paradox.
